ELSHAM WOLDS

Entertainment:

'Allied Festival', a happy mixture of ballet and semi-classical music, was performed in the Station Theatre by an ENSA party. The show was well-received by a large and appreciative audience.

 

No.1 GROUP WEATHER

Day

Cloudy and overcast. Snow started at about noon in the western areas of No.1 Group, and moved in a band east-north-easterly. The snowfall lasted roughly two hours and left a layer about 2 inches deep; this was followed by occasional rain or drizzle. Mainly medium cloud at first becoming nimbostratus at 2-3000 ft in the afternoon and base lowering to less than 1000 ft generally by dusk. Visibility was good to moderate, becoming poor in snow. Local fog developed soon after dusk.

 

Wind moderate south to south-easterly.

 

Night

Widespread fog with visibility generally less than 500 yds. Cloud mainly 10/10 with a base of 500 ft.

 

Wind light and variable, becoming south-westerly towards dawn.
