Leverkusen was intended to be the target for the night of 18/19 December, but the operation was cancelled at 1302 hrs, and the Squadron stood down.

Day

Widespread fog or low stratus at the lower level Stations, but the Wolds remained clear during the morning with small amounts of cloud and moderate visibility. Poor visibility with low stratus and occasional rain spread to the Wolds in the afternoon.

Night

Cloudy with continuous rain which cleared from the west at about 2000. There followed some fair periods for a short time after the rain, but later became generally cloudy at 9000 to 10000 ft with varying amounts of low stratocumulus with a base of 2000 to 4000 ft in moderate visibility.

Winds southerly fresh or strong, veering south-westerly and decreasing slowly.
