The Squadron was stood down from operations. Ground training conducted by all Section Leaders.

Flying Training

3x Day practice bombing 2x Fighter affiliation 1x Air to air gunnery

No night flying was scheduled due to unsuitable weather (which seems to contradict with the No.1 Group weather report below).

No.1 GROUP WEATHER

Day

Occasional slight rain fell in the morning, becoming fair in the afternoon, and fine around dusk. Cloud cover was 7-10/10 with a base of 1000 to 1500 ft. This broke up to 3-6/10 at 2000 to 3000 ft and later dispersed.

Visibility was good, and the wind north-easterly veering easterly.

 

Night

Fine, with little or no cloud. Visibility good, but one mile locally around the River Don.

Winds light north-easterly to northerly.
