The Squadron was stood down from operations yet again today.  

Flying Training

A successful day for flight training with 4 sorties carried out including air firing, practice bombing, and circuits.

No.1 GROUP WEATHER

Day

Cloudy with some local mist early in the day. Fair or fine in the afternoon with good visibility generally.

Wind moderate east-south-easterly.

 

Night

Fair becoming cloudy with some local rain around midnight. Cloud base generally 4000 to 6000 ft but very small amounts of stratus at 500 ft on the Wolds at times. Local fog after 2100 hrs, but the visibility improved considerably in the eastern parts of the Group after midnight with the advent of drier air from the North Sea and a small anticyclone. The visibility also improved later in the western parts of the Group.

Winds light and variable, or easterly.
